This ale-type beer was created for PALM brewer Alfred Van Roy’s 90th birthday. The ultimate expression of his passion for the distinct fermentation fruitiness of his personally selected PALM yeasts. A real royal treat of a beer. Its appearance is copper-coloured, with a rich, white head which clings to the glass. The aroma is reminiscent of banana; the flavour has bite with a great deal of body. The beer is slightly sweet due to the alcohol, but is nevertheless somewhat bitter and fruity too. Re-fermentation gives the beer a pleasant, dry aftertaste.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from ALBO. BBF 26/10/2015. Darker amber, slight orange, tanned head. Sweet orange, esters, slight phenolic, boozy nose, candy sugar & a bit industrial. Sweet candy sugar, high esters taste, caramel, grain alcohol, slight tropical touch, high carb. touch soda sweet, more boozy grain alcohol,.. Very fizzy body. Bit soda-like. Better than expected to be honestly. So this is the house brand of the Caribbean royal house, weird. No issue here.

(Draught at Engelbewaarder, Amsterdam, 27 July 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with peaches, marzipan, tropical fruit and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of tropical fruit, apricots, candy sugar and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Balanced and quite enjoyable.

Alkoholowy finisz.

Very smooth palate, color is amber with a nice thick, creamy head. Aroma is on the light side; honey, bread and malt. Taste is malt, and crackers. Very malty for a Belgian...
