bbf sep 08 (that’s now!) clear golden, nice offwhite head. aroma is aged beer, dark fruits, much heavier than i had expected, perhaps the aging has given it some dark flavor charactes. flavor : dark fruits, sweet stuff, slightly roasted stuff, intersting bitterness, quite good, sort of leaning towards less agressive belgian brews. it’s nice, but caught me totally off guard. nice beer, but akwardly straddeling betw. belgian and english styles (imho).

Bottle. Amber with a strong, white head. Aroma was of toffee with some hops in the background. Flavour was well balanced with some doughy malt followed by a long, bitter finish. Good.
