For historical-legal reasons, Sweden only sells low alcoholic beers (below 4% ABV) in its supermarkets - everything above that is restricted to the Systembolaget network - but considering the creativity and enthusiasm of the Swedish craft beer scene, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the session IPA category is very well-represented in those supermarket shelves, and this, in spite of the confusing name which at first made me think I was getting one of those new glitter beers, is one of them. Snow white, irregular, membrane-lacing, moussy, slowly opening head, cloudy peach blonde robe with clay-beige hue. Aroma of orange juice, mango peel, pumpkin soup, rainwater, tangerine, strawberry juice, sweetbread dough, shallot, raw sweet potato, fresh basil. Crisp, fruity onset, mango and pineapple notes, sweetish with sourish edge, lime accent, spritzy carbonation, supple body feeling heavier than its ABV suggests. Doughy and bready malt core, aromatically refreshing hoppy finish hinting at orange zest in quite a bright, colourful way, at the same time adding a rooty but in all relatively gentle bitterness to a grainy, somewhat earthy finish. Decent, but the yeasty aspects give it an almost 'Belgian' feel, which in an IPA of any kind is not necessary for me, even if I am seemingly less bothered by this than many other beer geeks.

Bottle from Hemköp. Hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma of hops, passionfruit and some citrus. The same in the taste, also some bread and grass. The body was thin and the finish a bit on the dry side.

Bottled, from ICA Kvantum Liljeholmen, Stockholm, Cloudy golden, mid sized head. Concentrated aroma of lychee and passionfruit. Dry with thin body and clean mouthfeel. Citrus and lychee battling for attention with chalk and dust. Metallic bitter finish. Nice hop aroma, but no spices in the world can hide the razorblade sharp body.
