Refreshment, thy name is Clementine. One sip of this White Ale transports you to the shade of a mighty tree, lounging in the peace of a crisp spring afternoon. Luscious citrus flavors and Belgian spice abound in Clementine, which features additions of Sweet Orange Peel, Coriander, and Mandarina Hops. The use of a Belgian Ale yeast strain contributes a tinge of peppery flavor to this crisp summer companion.

12oz bottle pours clear deep gold with white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some spicy yeast notes, citrus notes and a sense of acidity and wheat notes that seem to be at odds with one another. The taste has yeasty spices and rolling quickly into a mild yeast like tart note with some citrus and acidity around the edges. To midway and into the finish a wheat like flavor and softness tries to intercede the other notes. This doesn’t really come together for me.

On tap @ Beer Temple. Pale blonde color, just a little bit hazy. Dense, firm white head. Aroma’s of fruit, tangerine, coriander, orange peel, with some malt/grain. Flavor is lightly sweet with some sour fruit. Light body. Finishes somewhat dry and lightly bitter. Rather tasty witbier.

(Bottle, 0.65 l - bottled 05/2011, at Pikkulintu, 20120316) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had coriander, citricness and spices. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, corianded, fruitiness, citricness, hops, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, spicy and bitter. A tasty but not so traditional wit.
