650ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, yellowish golden colour with average, fluffy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Typical, spiced wheaty aroma, coriander, orange zest, sweetish citrus fruity. Taste is sweetish wheat malty, hints of orange, a minimally tart citrus fruity touch, some coriander. Soft, mild, realtively sweet, good.

Aroma: The nose is orange, wheat, spice/coriander, and some citrus hops
Appearance: It pours a clear golden color with a slightly fizzy white head and medium lace
Flavor: The flavor is light-medium, sweet, with wheat, lots of spice, and a light bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a lively carbonation, and a somewhat dry finish
Overall Impression: For some reason I see more Clown Shoes beers in Texas than I do in NJ. Distribution really is a strange animal. Anyway, as for this beer, this is solid. It definitely felt like an above average Witbier.

Bottle from Salling, Aarhus. Clear golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty, yeasty, citrus and coriander. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 060913

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/21/2013. Pours very hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big lemon zest, tangerine, orange peel, grapefruit, coriander, clove, pepper, wheat, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt, yeast, and spice notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, coriander, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, coriander, clove, wheat, bread, floral. and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and complexity of malt, yeast, and spice flavors; with great flavor robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and moderately creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent witbier. All around great balance, complexity, and robustness of malt, spice, and yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle purchased at Princeton Liquors in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The pour is clear golden orange with a crackling one inch slightly off white head. The head falls quickly and noisily. The aroma is strong coriander and orange peel along with a grassy hoppiness. The taste is heavy on the coriander and herbal spice, along with the bitterness from the orange peel and finishing dry and grassy. The flavor of straight orange citrus comes out as it warms. There is some soft lemon citrus in the finish as well. The palate is light bodied, dry mineral grass herbal aftertaste. Nice enough Wit.

Bottle. Orange-banana, coriander, and yeasty wheat aroma. Slightly hazed golden yellow with a small white head. Orange rind, coriander, and wheat malt flavor. Light body, soft carbonation, dry finish. Between the orange rind and heavy spice, this one had a bit of "numbing" effect on my tongue, a little like clove does. Just a tad overspiced for my taste.

12 oz. bottle. Light gold, hazy pour, with a medium, off-white, bubbly head. The aroma is strong coriander, lemonade, and a little rye and pine. The flavor is perfectly balanced citrusy sweetness and orange peel bitterness, with a crisp, light spiciness in the finish. Light to medium body, sharp, and acidic. Overall, this is a great witbier, and I’m a big fan of the style.
