Pours hazy deep amber into a tulip. Huge off-white head with excellent retention tophat and slowly recedes. Smoked grapefruit and coffee aromas. Sharp with caramel and hay upfront turning to coffee and tangerine in the dry, lasting finish.

Bottle. Deep golden colour with a white head. Aroma is dry, hop, malt, peach, coffee, spices. Flavour is dry, hop, malt, coffee, peaches, coffee, spices. bitter finish. Nice beer.

Bottle. Pours muddy orange with thick white had. Lots of carbonation. Nose/taste of dry hops, fresh coffee, chili pepper and yeast. Lightish body.

Bottle. Pours with a murky brown body with a white head that lasts. Aromas are of coffee (lots of it), minerals (strong), and a bit of vegital matter. Dry malt, light tropical fruit hop notes. Flavors are of coffee, dry, minerals and light burnt bread. Lively bubbles, lighter body with a dry finish.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark orange with a medium head. Aroma is banana, clove and some herbs. A little coffee. Taste has some veg and clove to start. Strong coffee finish. A little watery.

330 ml bottle into tulip, bottled 8/31/2011. Pours fairly hazy golden orange color with a huge 3 finger fluffy off white head with fantastic retention that reduces to a nice thick cap that lasts. Nice soapy lacing on the glass, with a good amount of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of big coffee beans, chili pepper, herbal, floral, chocolate, and caramel. Very nice and well balanced aromas with good strength. Taste of roasted coffee beans, chili pepper, herbal spiciness, caramel, and light chocolate. Good amount of peppery bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of coffee, caramel, pepper, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a bit. The pepper flavor aspect is done very well; hardly any heat noticed here, just a lot of spicy flavors. Great balance of all flavors. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is invisible as expected for 4.4%. Overall this is a highly excellent brew from De Molen. Big flavor and balance for a session beer. Very unique, but still highly enjoyable. I look forward to trying more of their beers.

0.33l bottle shared with ClubGonzo and Inbreak. This one pours a hazy orange-ish body with a big and everlasting near fluffy off-white head. Peculiar aroma with hints of coffee, some grassy/earthy roots - hard to describe. Smoky-earth without being smoky and some muddy cellar wood? I'm confused. The Flavor: I'm really impressed that they can squeeze all these flavors in to a lightweighter of a beer that this actually is. You immediately get the cold coffee touch and a long almost malty sweet-like and dry aftertaste. Quite off the chart of weird beers, but I found it tasty and actually quite good. 01.03.2012

(Bottle, 0.75 l - from Anton & Anton, 20120317) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was large and white. Aroma had coffee, hops, fruitiness and malts. Palate was light bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were hops, coffee, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had coffee, hops and bitterness. Not so good brew and pretty weird, too.

Bottle @ hotel room, Ithaca. Hazy, yellow-orange appearance with a very lively, white head. Burnt roasty coffee, slightly citrusy aroma but it’s mostly all roasted coffee. Tangy, lemon citrusy, incredibly rich, bitter, roasty coffee flavor. Way too much coffee.
