50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo. Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is dominated by lemongrass - all the way from the smell when opening the bottle. Almost a bit too much and almost a bit soapy or prefumy, but still the nice Asian feel to it. Will try it next to food next time. Far from the typical APA, but a rather nice and refreshing beer if you like lemongrass. Mild malty notes and hints of citrus i also present. Moderate to medium sweet with a light acidity and pleasant bitterness. Rather nice. Think I liked it when I first tried it at Aku Aku a long time ago too. --- Beer merged from original tick of Lemongrass on 04 Aug 2015 at 21:18 - Score: 6

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Lemongrass aroma, citrusy hoppy overtones, slightly biscuity, pale malty basis. Taste is citrusy hoppy, notes of lemon and lemongrass, slightly sweet, biscuity, pale malty basis; the citrusy freshness fades away, more earthy and slightly waxy lemongrass notes remain in the finish; (too) lively carbonation.

Nøgne Ø Lemongrass bottle. A golden beer, strongly bubbling, even with careful pouring the head is big, crowing and blond. Aroma has lots of lemongrass, lemon, some tropical fruits and sharp diskwashing detergent. Taste has lemon, fresh grass and some spicyness of coriander. Taste is more balanced than aroma. Almost medium bodied, strong carbonation. Good beer for a hot summer day as today, just as the etiquette says. Lemon and grass or lemongrass, refreshning.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a light haze. Decent head. Nose - lemon grass definitely, but also something quite sweet. Taste - confected lemongrass, like lemongrass jam, if such a thing exists. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be a bit cleaner, to be honest. Overall - decent, if a bit sweet.
