On tap. Pours a clear orangey brown with a dense and creamy beige head with an excellent retention leaving a neat lacework. Sweet caramel and subdued roast in the nose. Medium body, again lots of sweet caramel and a little nutty. The finish is dry with subtle hops. Nice but absolutely nothing baconish here. 121211

On tap. Pours with a clear brown body with a small, off-white head (that seems to last). Aromas are estery, nutty, maple, light smoke. Flavors are a bit malty, some fruity esters and very very watery. Minimal if any bacon on the flavor. Really just a bland brown ale at this point. Medium carbonation, lighter bodied. I like the idea.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 2 Oct 2010) Dark brownish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with apricots, orange and hints of smoke. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, apricots, caramel and hints of smoke. Gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, fairly sweet. The bacon part is a bit toned down, but it’s still a nice and tasty beer.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear amber, small head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and solid body. Salty caramel meets molasses. Fairly low bitterness. Feels rather lifeless.

Cloudy brown color. Lots of bacon and earthy in the nose . Mouth is unbalanced with baconpotatoe chips, sour not pleasant. Not that good and after tastes suck lingering vinegar bacon finish. Fuck that.

Tap at the Aldgate in Tokyo. Cloudy, muddy, light brown. Probably the ugliest beer I’ve ever seen. Aroma of chocolate, grassy hops, caramel, big alcohol. Thin and light in body and flavor, with dark chocolate malt. Couldn’t taste any bacon. Very bland and not so memorable.
