Dark deep malty beginning. Not too sticky with a nice intense bitterness in the end. Long smooth with lots of roasted caramel and burned sugars. Nice with a grainy bitter finish.

Clear amber with a medium off white head. Aroma had roasted malt and caramel. Chewy solid malt base in the flavor that tasted somewhat sweet with notes of caramel and bread. Sweet finish.

Clear amber with little white head. Aroma is bread, musty hops, juicy malt. Taste is sweet juicy malt with herby hoppy bitterness. Low carbonation, heavy, almost oily.

Holzfass. Copper-orange color with white head. Aroma is diapers, juicy malts, caramel and toffee. Taste is juicy malts, toffee, quite floral. Nice oily mouthfeel. Not my kind of Bock, it's too unclean.

Tap at fässla. Deep golden, offwhite lace. Full malt, straw, grain, quite chewy, honeyish, herbal grassy hop counterpoint. Apples retronasal.

Clear medium amber colour, good two finger frothy off-white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma roasted malts, brown sugar, caramel. Taste light light heavy to medium sweet and light bitter, roasted, burned caramel, light toffee, touch of alcohol. Sweetbitter aftertaste, malty, spicy notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, well-balanced and easy to drink.

Clear, deep golden colored, small to medium beige not very lasting head. Aroma is of malt, caramel, bit toasted, fruits, some herbal notes and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet caramel, malty, light toast, some fruit, bit candy, medium- herbal bitterness, dry finish, some alcohol, decent lasting aftertaste. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, bit sticky.

Poured a dark copper color with off white head. The aroma was of caramel malts and plenty of wheat very pleasing to the nose.

500ml bottle [kindly rendered by ’Freiburgator’ bartlebier, thanks!]. Clear, copper-ish, dark amber colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty aroma with nutty touch and alcoholic perspiration. Taste is moderately sweet caramel malty, hints of toffee, bitter almond-like overtones; warming alcoholic finish. Heavy.

Bardzo smaczny Doppelbock z Bamberga. Fajna tylna etykieta niczym pocztowka. Pianka srednia nie za trwala, ale w smaku przyjemnie rozgrzewajace z nuta karmelu, lekko slodkawe ale fajnie umilajace pozny wieczor. Alkohol wyczuwalny ale ten bardziej szlachetny, rozgrzewal po przelknieciu. Polecam tego podwojnego kozlaczka.
