Sour Pang is a proof of concept around hops and yeast. American Sour style, combines a base recipe of India Pale Ale, with American hopping techniques, plus a special yeast grown in the laboratory. The result is a very complex beer, pale in color and somewhat cloudy, with a marked presence of grapefruit, lime and flowers in aroma. In the mouth it shows a classic IPA profile, balanced bitterness, sweet fruit and citrus that quickly transitions to acidity, the main characteristic of the “Sour” style, but in a moderate and affordable way, obtaining a fresh and easy drink from the whole.

Il gusto al naso trova lo speziato, meglio dire sour. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la continuità olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il manto superiore è caratterizzato da una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine con carbonazione abbondante. Il piano sottostante è di apparenza offuscata. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma della frizzantezza. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è non invadente. L'intensità gustativa è elevata. La costanza gustativa risulta prolungata. Il retrogusto è, di media intensità. Al gusto vengono donati toni di caramello, luppolo, lievito, pipì di gatto e agrumi.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Na’ama’s place. Thanks Stas. Hazy golden with a white head. Slightly sourish aroma, yeasty, with a bit of lacto, fruitiness. Sourish flavor, yeasty, fruity, with a bitter finish.

Bottle from Sesma @ Lerma beer festival. Hazy golden coloured with a white head. Nose is turkish delight, citric, light malty. Flavour is citrus, turkish delight, vanilla, soda pop, fruity. Yummy.
