Gageleer Original is a golden colored beer that forms a perfectly beautiful white foam collar in a gageleer glass. It is brewed with honest organic ingredients: the finest barley malt, partly from local Campine organic farmers, and bog myrtle from De Liereman (a nature preserve in the Campine village of Oud‐Turnhout), without additives or preservatives.

Typical Belgian triple, well made, robust and very drinkable. Floral smell, with notes of elderflowers, honey, bread dough. Dry and bitter taste, refreshing.

330 ml bottle. Clear pale golden body with a dense, lacing, white head. Moderate strong spicy aroma with bog myrtle and mild perfume. Flavor is mild perfumes, spicy with bog myrtle and a hint of eucalyptus. Medium body and a bit weak in aftertaste. Drinkable, but more interesting than great.

Slightly hazy medium golden colour, large frothy white head, diminishes slowly, fair lacing. Strong sweet bog myrtle aroma, anis, orange peel, yeasty. Taste medium sweetbitter, herbal, bit medicinal. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste full of herbal bitterness. A very interesting beer, not for everyday but on the whole quite nice.
