Bottle from Tesco. Is this really coming from Belgium? I drank at least 50 different Belgian beers and nothing from Belgium is here. Even Jupiler tastes like from Belgium! Yes, I’ve checked bb date

33 cl bottle bought at Alcampo, Madrid, and served in red wine glass. Pours hazy dark golden with thick off-white head. Aroma is porridge, dried banana, biscuit, orange peel, a hint of spruce. Taste is slightly sweetish, not very fresh, creamy, not bitter at all. Medium-lasting.

F: big, white, creamy, good retention. C: deep gold to amber, light hazy. A: malt, fruity, honey, grassy, floral, hint of spicy. T: malty, peach, grassy, caramel, biscuit, hint of yeast, medium body, normal carbonation, I expected unbalanced beer but it´s quite tasty actually for me, 0,33l bottle from Prik&Tik /Quali-drinks/ in Brussels.

75cl corkscrew bottle, retail @ 3.90€. Orange color, mostly clear, big soapy white head, persistent, lacing. Pungent smell. Aroma of syrupy malts, cane sugar, yellow fruit (mango, melon, peach), some spices (cinnamon, coriander, flowers, yeast), hints of citrus, decent but anonymous bittering hops. Taste is sugary and a little acidic. Carbonated, creamy texture, medium body. Moderately dry finish, light alcoholic, spiced. A nice ale.

Nagy habja viszonylag gyorsan eltűnik. Színe mintaszerű, átlátszó erős borostyán. Illata nagyon fincsi, fűszeres és gyümölcsös. Íze picit karamelles, édeskés, jól kiegyensúlyozva némi keserűvel. Határozott gyűmölcsös, aszaltgyümölcsös jegyeket mutat, mellettük érzek némi gabonás ízt is. utóízében az édes hamar kifut, a keserű viszont sokáig kitart, a legvégére még sajnos megmarad valami olajosság, ami kissé elrontja a jó összképet. Testes sör.

Classic Belgian blonde abbey beer since 1989, also tasted as Beremietje Blond at Ertvelde’s beer museum (now closed). Off-white, sticky, irregular, moussy head, misty honey golden robe. Aroma of canned apricot, banana peel, moldy lemon, honey, apple, dried grass and quite a lot of ’rusty’ oxidation - clearly an older bottle but I had younger ones too without this feature, obviously. Fruity onset of green banana, pear and gooseberry, strongly overcarbonated distracting from the actual flavor, supple but somewhat thinnish pale malt body, sweetish and a bit metallic, light grassy hop bitterish touch in the end but the simple fruit and malt sweetness straightforwardly persist. Very cliché and rather bland.

Bottle. Slightly soapy metallic aroma. Staleish oxidized hops. Clear golden colour, stable white head. Taste is stale feeling, oxidized. Raw grainy maltiness. High carbonation, light to moderate body. Flawed.
