Öster om RNB, på andra sidan radhusområdet Ellagård ligger torpet Ella Krog invid det om en gång var genomfartsväg norrut. Den lilla parstugan använde som ölkrog under hundra år, fram till 1850. Vi kan på goda grunder anta att man mestadels serverade just ale eftersom tillverkningen av lageröl, i Stockholm, startades först 1843.
Ella Brown Ale från RNB är en mörkt rödbrun överjäst öl med tydlig, men inte påträngande, humlearon och smak. Grape citrus och rostat kaffe är framträdande smakinslag. Väl balanserade av maltighet och kropp. Det gör Ella till något alldeles extraordinärt!

Backlog (thanks mabjork!). Ambery brown colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is nutty, some toasted tones with mild coffee as well as some citrusy and mild wooden tones. Flavour is coffee, nutty, some chocolate, mild citrus, some fruity and a bit wooden tones. A bit here and there, but gets away with it, as it's quite nice to drink.

200ml draught at Lådan. Shared with Finn. A fawn-coloured head to a deep black body. Brown malty nose with hints of chocolate. Creamy dark chocolate flavours with a coffee touch towards the finish. Medium bodied. Likable version of the style. (Stockholm 17.01.2018).

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 5 Oct 2017) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, chocolate and a touch of citrus. Malty, roasted taste with dark bread, chocolate, orange peel, a touch of grapefruit and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Well balanced brown ale with a fresh citric hop touch. Quite nice.

Bottle. Pours a brown color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma. Slightly roasted malty bitter caramel flavor. Has a slightly roasted malty bitter caramel finish.
