(Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost black, with big lasting beige head. Malty, fruity nose with liquorice, spices (anise, cardamom, clove), chocolate truffles, black rye bread, dark cherries and some orange peel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of liquorice, caramel, chocolate, black rye bread, spices (anise, mint), brown sugar, dried apricots, orange peel and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Aroma promises a bit more than the taste delivers, but it's a tasty and well balanced Belgian stout, with lots of focus on the Belgian. Quite nice.

330ml Bottle - Black with a very foamy head. Liquorice, aniseed, cherries and some smoky and roasted notes in the aroma. Liquorice dominates in the taste but some notes of chocolate, fennel and coffee can also be detected. Interesting but becomes a bit sickly after a while so a bottle is more than enough.

Flaska från SB. Mörkbrun vätska med rejält flummigt skum. Ser snygg ut i Belgisk remmare. Doft av hostmedicin med anis och lbelgojäst. Småbubblig i munnen a la belgique.
