(Bottle, 25 Dec 2017) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, black rye bread, liquorice and roasted malt. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, dark rye bread, liquorice and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A certain sweetness coming through. Tasty, well made and balanced for its strength. Very nice.

Svart med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter kandis, mørk sjokolade, sitrus, kakaopulver, yoghurt og nøtter. Fyldig. Salt lakris, mørk sjokolade, nøtter, kaffe og noe portvin. Middels lang noe saltbitter avslutning.

Pours black as a night, topped with no real head. Just a small beige brim around the edge. Chocolate aroma with dry fruits and a bit of whiskey presence. Slightly sweet start, roasty body with quite some bitterness in the finish. Quite herbal feel, also in the aftertaste. Dominates the taste and a bit unpleasant. Medium body, strong taste, noticeable alcohol.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 2016-03-22, thanks omhper, 20160520) The beer poured black. Its head was almost nonexistent. Aroma had burnt malts, ash and liquorice. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, liquorice, berries and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, berries and bitterness. A decent imperial stout but lacks balance.

330ml Bottle (Thanks Omhper) - Black in colour with a tan head. Liquorice, plain chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Roasted taste with liquorice, fennel and plain chocolate standing out.

Bottled, from Systembolaget, Falun. Black with small head. Bubblegum and licorice up front. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Sugar and bubblegum, some licorice and chocolate. Resinous bitter finish.

Draught at SMÖF 2015, October 23.Black color, small brown head. Malty, alcohol, grainy scent. Malty, alcohol, some chocolate taste. Bitter aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
