(Bottle, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 26 Sep 2015) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and a touch of chilli. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, black coffee, liquorice, gentle chilli flavours and a balanced roasty bitterness. almost full body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and well made stout with a balanced chilli character. Nice one.

Bottle 25 cl at NK Bar, Stockholm. Sampled on May 7, 2015.BB March 2016.Marked 8.2% ABV.Black color, seems clear with the very dark reddish brown you can hint at the bottom of the glass. Medium sized brown head. Roasted, ash, chili fruit, chocolate, bell peppers scent, also a fair bit of alcohol. Caramelly sweet at first, very quickly goes to a heated to burning sensation on your tongue, then moves to the back of your throat and lingers. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Grainy finish. Overpowering chili heat. Not balanced anywhere.

Bottle at NK Ölbar, November 2014. Almost black with a minimal head. Aroma of light chili, chocolate and some roasted malt. More chili in the taste. The body was quite soft and the finish long with chili, although not too much of it.

How: Bottle.
Where: NK Bar, Stockholm.
Appearance: Almost black colour with no head.
Aroma: Chocolate, spices, chilli.
Body: A bit thin body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Chocolate, chilli that starts low but sets in after a few seconds. Chilli finish.

Bottled at NK Ölbar, Stockholm. Very dark brown, no head. Chocolate and butter up front. Sweet with full body, low carbonation and soft mouthfeel. Jalapeno heat grows to outpower chocolate and butter. Increasingly spicy finish. One pr few chili beers I can deal with.
