Stumpfer trockener Hefeantrunk, wenig malzig, leicht herb. Das Ganze bleibt trocken, unsüffig, dunkler werdend. Naja...8/7/7/8/10/8

Bottled. Hazy pale amber, no head. Funky wood aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lots of wood, some fruit and white pepper. Mid bitter finish.

Pours hazy copper with a fading head.Nose shows horseblanket, elderflower, peach and subtle malt. Not much wood showing. Not much acidity as a flavour either. There’s a peppery note along with some sweet malt and a soft oak note. More herbal characters too. Not particularly exciting.Needs more carbonation.

Bottle. Golden amber, no head. 3 Aroma of the barn, lemon, apricot kernels, nectarines. Very low carbonation, slightly slippery. 3 Sweet caramel and stone fruit balanced by sour woody and earthy funk. Some Sichaun pepper and lots of stemmy/ woody notes in a dryish finish. Complex and interesting with the expected Orvalish and lambic notes, but not as vibrant as I’d hoped. More bubbles would have helped. But pretty good. [3.6]Last of these. An almost really good beer - blending in something young and zesty to this would have been quite something, but as is it’s deep but moody.
