Bottle. Copper brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel, malt, berries. Flavour is caramel, malt, a bit of coffee.

33 cl bottle at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg, on November 23, 2011BB January 2011, though still holds up wellVery dark red color, big lasting tan head. Sweet, malty, grainy, bread scent. A touch of red berries and fudge. Grainy, malty, fudge, smooth taste. Moussy mouthfeel. grainy dry aftertaste, medium bitterness that feels rather dry.

Bottled@SBWF2010. Hazy coppery colour with small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, some caramel malts, mild ashes, some alcohol as well as mild plums. Flavour is nutty, ashy, caramel malty, slightly burnt wooden as well.

Bottle (Stockholm Beer Festival 2010) - Dark brown with red tinges and a tan head. Fruity aroma with raisins, spicy malt and hops. Roasted taste with roasted malt and a hint of chocolate.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm, 30 Apr 2010) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of liquorice, coffee, burnt hints of ashes and a touch of tar. Roasted, malty taste with black coffee, cocoa, liquorice, dark rye bread and a balanced coffee bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, mainly dry. Well balanced and excellent porter.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Pitch black, rich creamy head. Coffee dominates the aroma. Dark chocolate joins soon. Some malt sweetness and a supporting well built body. Clean but nicely rounded mouthfeel. Salty licorice finish. Pleasant and well made with concentrated flavours.
