Sin biodlingsbas har Dan Levin vid en mycket speciell plats, en gammal herrgård i Björnlunda socken med anor från 1500-talet. På den tiden hette gården Löta och var hemman för Frälse. Det förefaller troligt att mjöd dracks här redan på 1500-talet. Honungen i mjödet domineras av vitklöver och hallon med små inslag av blåbärsblom, vilket är väldigt typiskt för trakten. Just det här mjödet är lite speciellt, eftersom sötman i det kommer från honung som tillsattes efter jäsning. Ett annat tillvägagångssätt än vi normalt använder.

Pale blond color. The aroma is a bit soapy, wax, flowery, almonds; very light chemicals. It has a light sweetness; the flavor is a bit soapy, with notes of watermelon. It reminds me a lot of sake, but this is not what is expected in good mead.

75 cl bottle. Pours clear pale yellow, no head. Aroma is dry, caramelish and light wooden. Vanilla. Almondish. Full bodied. Mild fruity, dry honey and light caramelish. Mild herbal. Dry far finish.

Bottled@SBWF2012. Yellowish golden colour with no head. Aroma is sweet honey, some dry white wine, mild floral and berryish notes. Flavour is floral, grassy, mild white wine, some honey and mild juniperlike notes as well. Quite "spritzy" taste.

Bottled. Clear pale golden.rich floral nose with some honey and white wine. Dryish with medium body and spritzy mouthfeel. Rich herbal spices, summer flowers and grains. Sweeter finish with some spicy bitterness.

Sampled bottled at "En öl & whiskymässa" in Göteborg, on April 12, 2013.A bit hazy pear color, no head. Sweet, alcohol, fruit peel scent. Honey, sweet taste. Tart aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Medium mouthfeel, no bitterness. Tart finish.
