LCI. Classic, easy. Some citrus and easy bitterness. Grainy. 90s throwback for an 80s party

A disappointing WCIPA that lacks bite and doesn't make up for it with a particularly interesting flavour. Aromas of pine and lemon lead into a nice full body with an inoffensive pine taste. Sudsy and full, the palate is probably the best thing about this beer.

From a 355ml can on 25/2/2020. Pours a clear light golden with a small to medium head. Has a sharp citrus nose, with lots of lime in the mix. Tastes very citrussy and tangy (more lime and a fair bit of lemon), with bugger all malt presenting. Has a sharpish, medium bitterness with just a hint of resin. Not at all typically WC IPA for mine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. This brewer is the subject of a fair bit of hype at the moment, but this one left a bit underwhelmed. Not awful but not great, and decidedly odd.

Pours hazy gold, large head. Nose shows floral hops, grassy notes, spicy hops, biscuity malt, some nutty notes.Flavours include more pine and resinous hops, nutty malt, a bit of sweetness and floral notes.Carbonation is a little over the top.

[10/18] Can. Very pale gold with a loose white head that fades. 3- Aroma of grapefruit, kumquats, bread and some pine. Very light bodied. There's not a lot of malt presence but it has a proper breadiness rather than plain sweetness. Citrus, some resin, medium high bitterness in a dry finish. Super-clean without slipping into anonymity. Good beer. [3.6]
[2/19] A few more of these. Consistently good and just distinctive enough.
