Pours deep coppery red, with a large fading head.Nose shows coconut, oak, blackberries, raspberries, soft property notes, reasonable funk.Flavours include more funk, red wine, oak, coconut, a soft tangy acidity, and a gentle berry-like sweetness.

Tap - a generous taster. Deep red with lasting beige head. Aroma of sour fruit, slightly caught toast, woody and stemmy notes. Brighter tasting than Rodenbach Grand Cru with raspberry vinegar, lemon, light bread crust, oak Some depth but with a vibrant freshness. Tempted to score higher but need more. I guess this is a blend and the Eenhorn I had a while go is a component. Right up my street. --- Beer merged from original tick of House Red on 10 Jul 2018 at 14:02 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.
