’Fad bamse’ is a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast.
A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast.

Sample at The Crest. The beer pours a clear orange-gold color with a medium bone white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, grapefruit and toasted malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hops and citrus aftertaste. Above average overall.

0,33L bottle. Pours golden-amber with whiteish head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, honey like notes, tropical fruits, and malt. Taste is sweet and bitter, fruits, citrus, some grains, and caramel. Finish is fruity dry bitter. Feels light, but not watery. Alcohol is noticeable. Overall: very easy to drink despite the alcohol. The fruitiness is nice; doesn’t feel like any imperial pils I have had before.

Bomber for bruins playoff game. Pours orange gold with big pillowy head. Nose is quite yeasty and floral. Tastes of a garden full of fresh flowers, bready, some orange, hops, and caramel. Touch of hop bitterness but smooth overall.

Ogolnie to malo to piwo przypominalo strong lagera. Piana srednia i srednio trwala. Koloru bursztynowego jest to piwo. Alkohol na szczescie nie wyczuwalny.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines - cheers Ash! Pours clear golden amber, thick white head. Big lemon and orange citrus aroma, light resin too. Taste is a little funky, but more resinous hops. Not a lager by any stretch of the imagination, but a lovely beer.
