Bottle. Clear brown with a light beige head that’s soon a coat but then lasts well. Aroma of sugarplums, strong bread and sticky crusts. Some overt alcohol. Quite sweet and beery at first with overripe and dried fruit, bread, chocolate brioche. But then honey flavours take hold as it goes towards a drier finish that’s drier than expected. Rather boozy at the end too and after a while it seems like the ale in particular is a sideshow.
