200ml draught at BrewDog Mitte. Shared with Finn. A filmy layer covering a hazed amber-gold body. Inviting, fresh tropical fruity aromas. Fruit hoppy flavours of citrus, peaches, mango, and juicy malts. Fresh fruit bitter finish. Smooth and refreshing. (Berlin 15.01.2018).

Sehr fruchtiger Hopfenantrunk. Stark blumig-würzig, moderat herb, vollmundig. Intensiv fruchtig bleibend, lang anhaltender Nachgeschmack. Gut. 10/13/12/13//12

500ml bottle. Aroma is strong mango, peach, hay. Flavour is tropical mango, resinous, caramel, quite bitter. This is a really nice IPA. It’s strange that whilst this is a beer most breweries would be proud to have in their standard range, it feels somewhat of a let down as part of a special one off series. It’s not fun or new, it’s just a really nice IPA.

Growler. Clear pale amber with a white head. 3+ Aroma of passionfruit, grapefruit, some pine, slightly toasty bread. A little sweet, dries out a bit towards a fairly bitter finish. Fruity hops and quite resinous. Is there as much mandarin as grapefruit in the citrus flavours, or does the passionfruit swamp the citrus a tad? Slightly toasty. Very clean, but illustrates the difference between clean and neutral malt very well. It’s good and (again) really well made but passionfruit is a little too prominent for me.

On tap at Alehouse Project, pours a hazy golden with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of piney hops and a touch of biscuity malt. Flavour is the same with loads of piney hops and just enough biscuity malt to back. Loads of pine dominate this one. Excellent.
