Many thanks for this first RIS from Germany to Koelschtrinker. Best Before: 12.2013. a wiec pol roku po terminie. No, no zestarzal sie fajnie. Thx Roman

Bottle from kappldav123, thanks! Almost black and opague. Ash and rye bread in the aroma. Thick mouthfeel. Malty sweet flavor with ash, ryebread, roastbitterness and coffee. Very un-German beer, but good.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A almost black beer with a virtually tan head. Aroma of strong dark malt, red wine, mild sourish red fruits. Taste of sourish red fruits, dark strong malt, woody fruits, red wine, some vinegar, interesting!

Old 37.5cl bottle from my cellar. Best Before 06.2012. Sticky alcoholic grainy nose, nearly no carbonation. Deep red wind. Intense red sourish, round and refreshing. Long malty body, round, deep with a nice fruity sourish woody aroma. Deep, hints of roast, dark sour cherries, fruity fresh. Long intense sourish woody aftertaste. Interesting and great!

Bottle, well past the BBD. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and fruit, with notes of yeast and some dusty touches. Bitter, roasty flavour with malty and estery notes and dusty and vinous notes. Lingering, roasty and vinous aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Very nice.

German example of a totally non-German style, actually a rye beer modified into an imperial stout. Beige, moussy head, black colour. Aroma of fondant, toasted bread, peat, rye, liquorice; malty taste with chocolate and liquorice, sourish touch from the rye, bit earthy, long dry roasted bitter finish.

On tap at the Alibi Room for Camrapalooza 2014, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out lots of grainy notes, sweetness from the rye no doubt, with roast and caramel. Flavour is rich and hearty, with sweet caramel malt, roast and grainy notes. Very robust, silky and thick on the palate. A little sweet but not cloying. Good stuff.

Bottle at the "Lets celebrate the fact that Dean is already the Mayor of M&S Den Haag even though it’s only been open for 24 hours tasting!". Poured a dark mahogany with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is sweet malt. The flavour is medium it strong bitter with a rich alcoholic liqourice bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
