(Bottle) Pours very dark brown with ruby highlights and tiny coffee coloured head. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Great palate, full bodied with velvety carbonation and some stickiness. Great taste too with a rich complex balance. There’s a dark toffee sweetness, dark chocolate and coffee bitterness, a porty grapy fruity tartness. Fantastic beer, and clearly reminiscent of tiramisu.

Pours black with a quickly fading head.Nose shows roasted malt, coffee, bready notes and caramel.Flavours include more coffee and roasted malt, a soft sultana-like sweetness following.

Bottle. Pretty much black with a beige head that’s soon a coat. Aroma of earthy coffee, light roasted malt, plums (perhaps that’s the muscat), bitter chocolate. Does smell like a pick-me-up. Silky texture, lowish carbonation. Fullish but not heavy body. Moderately sweet with dark stewed fruit, more chocolate than coffee, fairly firm roasted flavours. Bitterness is slightly spicy at the end and creeps up after a while. Pretty good for a novelty beer.
