Apparently, Adam was pretty disappointed when the serpent offered him an apple. And we don’t blame him. This Forbidden Fruit is dark red, softly sweet, caressing and full in the mouth. It is brewed with roasted malt and hops, giving it a typical herbal plant aroma. By the way, it’s not forbidden to have a taste.

Botella de 33 cl tomada en varias ocasiones en la época belga. De color oscuro con una espuma bastante densa. Cuerpo medio con un volumen alcohólico bueno, sabores dulces y algo tostados. Buena

Bottle at Rootz at the Harbour, Den Haag. Poured a hazy dark amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is yeast, light fruit. The flavour is medium sweet with a big yeast, malt, fruit, alcoholic liqourice, light spice palate. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. A big alcoholic sweetie from Belgium. Fully deserving of its high rating.

Trübes bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig süß, überreife Früchte, hefig. Geschmack malzig fruchtig, reife Früchte, alkoholisch, würzig.

Bottle in a cafe in Leuven. Copper brown with a thin head. Aroma is whit bitter. Flavour is dry cooking chocolate, a little nut on a powder finish.

Bottle from Brune Rousse Houblon, Nice. Hazy reddish/brown with a firm head. Sweetish with malt, toffee, fruit and candy. Too sweet for me.

Darkish yeasty beer, with a surprising funky and fruity taste. Spicey, malty and with candi sugar. Good one.

Appearance: Deep nutty brown color with a fine tan head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Fruity and malty with some spices. Also some alcohol.
Palate: Medium + body. Moderate bitterness and a rich sweetness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Dominating sweet malty and fruity. Some yeast and some spices. And a good dash alcohol.
Overall impression: Ok, but one is enough for me.

Bottle in the Fiddler. Pours hazy amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, dark fruits, sweet malt and toffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Dark amber, white foam. Medium carbonation. Medium body. Well balanced. Sweet and fruity aroma, also a bit malty. Light bitter finish.
