Anaphylaxis, eh? At my kids’ school there’s a safe zone for eating yogurt. You wouldn’t even think about nuts. What happened to those children in my day? Did I kill them? Bottle. Pretty much black with a beige head. Modest aroma of crackers, light smoke, plums, peppers. Just slightly plasticky. Medium bodied, a bit silky. Sweet and more bready than crackery, mild smoke and chile. I wouldn’t have picked chipotles, perhaps because of the other smoke. There’s an interesting smoke/ fruit combination of flavours just before the finish. No obvious roast, but some licorice. Some lime. Moderate to high bitterness that creeps up after a time with a pleasant chile tingle right at the end. Interesting.
