Deep pink with thin lacy head. Aroma of tart raspberries. Also funky yeast, wood, cork. Thin watery feel. There’s nice, perfumey raspberry in the flavour and aftertaste. It’s tart but not overly sour. Just has a slight musty element to it.

Deep red with a small head. A lot of rather sweet raspberries in the aroma. Also some light notes of barnyard. Also a lot of raspberries in the taste, but not as sweet as in the aroma. Dry with a light tartness. Refreshing and pleasant to drink.

Pours ruby-tinted copper with a pink-tinged head.Nose shows authentic raspberries with a little funk in the background.Flavours focus on sweet raspberry jam at first followed by a pronounce, balancing bitterness. Perhaps just a little on the sweet side overall.Nice moderately high carbonation works well.

Classic framboise with thinnish, off-white head and dark orangey red robe. Lots of rewarding lambic funkiness in the nose but in an elegant way, drenched in loads of fresh strawberries, woody, vinegary, lemony notes, barnyard, ’wild’. Tart taste teeming with fresh fruit, very fresh and crisp, bit funky, no disturbing artificial sweetness, long and complex, woody lambic finish. Authentic.

From bottle had Cardinal. Bright red. Not much head, as is standard in this style. Strong and refreshing aroma of raspberries. Similarly fine and refreshing taste. Dry and slightly sour. Well balanced with good drinkability, but not as complex as the top examples of this style.
