Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a creamy, light brown head. Thick, rubbery iodine aroma. Pours thick with low carbonation, sweet licorice roast with tons of ashes and grim and nasty peat, rubber, ink and iodine. Ashtray. Good if you like peat. I honestly don’t. 300514

Aroma: Smoke, wooden barrell. A bit too woody. Flavour: Toasty malts, whiskey, wood, peat, coal. Warming from the booze.

33 cl bottle @ home. Black color. Creamy beige head, with some retention. Aroma’s: peat, iodine, some sweetness. Additionally roasted malts and a little red fruit retronasal. Flavor is moderate to full sweet, peaty, light fruitiness. Alcohol is warming. Medium bodied. Roast and some ash in the finish, moderate bitterness.

-rerate @home --- Beer merged from original tick of Meneer de Uil - Ledaig BA (2013) on 28 Jun 2018 at 22:39 - Score: 8. Nice one

Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Big TCP whisky dominates the mellow dark malt. Nope - this is too TCP to be drinkable.

Bottle split at Scopey’s 5K Extravaganza of Oompah Band meets doorbell music, thanks to Josh - 15/02/14. Extremely dark mahogony brown with a moderate light tan covering that clears to the edge. Nose is big on peated malt, TCP, chocolate, toffee, medicinal. Taste comprises light chocolate, Band Aid, liqourice, peated malt, light smoke. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Ok for a peated malt Impy but again ... lacks depth for the ABV.
