Bottle. A very dark brown one, topped by a dense, minimal sized beige head. The aroma is very peated, with iodine and some licorice. Alcohol notes, bonfire and some dried fruits and pine cones. Very dry on the palate, quite warming and full-bodied with a pleasant carbonation. Too much peat in the flavor too I think, but it’s nice anyway. Some alcohol, with peat, bonifire and some coffee, with a lasting finish. Quite nice this one, even though the peat level is too high. 141024

Bottled@PBF IX. Brownish amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is peated, some liquore and alcohol. Actually more Laphroaig like. Flavour is very similar with some slight tartness. Very Laphroaiglike notes though it said Ledaig.

33cl bottle @ PBF Ⅸ, 12/2014
Aroma is strong with bourbon notes and vanilla. Also some Laphroiag tones with sweet tar. Flavour is a bit messy with licorice, some smoke and sweet tones. If this is Jack Daniels, this is rather brilliant islay simulation with all the peat and licorice.

Bottled. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of peated smoke as well as medium notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet notes of alcohol, peated smoke, and roasted malt, leading to a dry smokey and alcoholic finish. A bit over the top for my liking.
