330 ml bottle. Pours black with huge cream-colored head. Big peaty aroma with coffee and roasted malts in the background. Flavors of dry dusty peat smoke, creamy coffee, milk chocolate and ashy roasted malts. A little overpowering on the nose but great flavors. Very interesting.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Clear black with a very thin beige head. Aroma is very peaty, almost exclusively peat to be honest, with some roasted malts. Taste is boozy and sweet, body is quite thin for such a high ABV. Turns out I like my whiskies very peaty but not my beers, sadly enough.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Vova’s place. Thanks Vova. Black with a tan head. Aroma of peat smokiness, iodine and some chocolate in the background. Flavor has some sweet chocolate, malt, lots of peaty smokiness and iodine and quite a bit of bitterness. Medium to full-bodied. Too much smoky whiskey, not enough Imperial Stout.

Bottle from Burg Bieren, dated Dec 2013, large sample. Dark brown color, short brown head. Aroma of peat, dark chocolate, coffee, smoke, ashes. Taste has soft sweetness, bit vanilla even, but mostly dry from smoke, peat and ashes. Bit bitter as well. Some fruity notes open up after a while. Quite alcoholic and boozy in the finish as well. Base beer seems a bit thin to carry the heavy peat.
