THE RED PROJECT features 10 red beers brewed to celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2015.
Number Two in the Red Project is "Batch 1000". Our 1000th brew coincides with our 10th Anniversary festivities, so we have brewed one of our favourite styles. A Belgian Tripel, one of perrenial faves to drink, and our first time in 1000 brewdays that we are brewing one. And its red of course.

Second of the ten "Red Project" red beers made for their 10th anniversary. Odd that I recall going there a little more than 10 years ago with our then tiny daughter - they seemed very well established that day. Bottle, 11C. Dark reddish brown with a beige head that fades pretty quickly but never quite disappears. Gentle malty aroma with hay, dough, oranges, some dried fruit, light roasty notes. Medium bodied. Quite bright fruity flavours - oranges, pears - with a firm roasted note, floral and peppery bitterness. Intriguing finish with oranges and mildly roasted coffee. Not sure whether it’s really red or a tripel, but an interesting and accomplished beer.
