Dark beer, almost black with creamy and brown foam. Rich and powerful beer with a very long after-taste. Very complex and still soft aroma. The high level of alcohol is very subtlety hidden. It is prepared with strongly roasted malt which gives its very special taste.

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10.5%. Dark brown colour, huge beige head. Aroma of Belgian ale yeast, mild spices, Christmas cookies and caramel. Lovely flavour with the same elements, some sweetness but not too much, also notes of dark dried fruits, pepper and fairly distinct bittering hops.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeers', best before May 2027. Hazy, dark ruby with a large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a bit yeasty-spicy aroma of raisins, prunes, caramel and molasses. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity, slightly boozy and a little yeasty-spicy taste of prunes, raisins, caramel, molasses and alcohol, followed by a long, gently bitter, quite boozy and a bit yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Not very refined or complex, rather a boozy sugar bomb. Not bad, but quite disappointing.

bottle at the beer bistro, labled as Winter Beer.
Wow, this stuff is nice. very dark brown, HUGE tan head. aroma is Banana and dried berries and lots of yeast. sipped it and let it warm in my had, the alcohol is hidden nicely, but you can tell its there, nice and warm feeling follows. Amazing beer to just curl up with and enjoy on a cold night.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is dark malt with yeast, caramel, overripe/dried fruits, figs, spicy notes, some toffee and nuts. Medium sweet flavour, moderate bitterness. Body is a bit above medium. Pretty refined and balanced specimen.
