Viven Bruin is an improvement of the original recipe. The fine balance between malt and spices creates a surprising aftertaste. Brown ale with an aroma of chocolate and caramel.
This beer is the perfect meal companion. Properinge hops.

Backlog from 2015/03/27.

Bottle, 7.5%. Milk chocolate aroma, slightly spicy, some brown sugar in the nose. Seemingly clear reddish dark brown colour. Very small frothy off-white head. The flavour has a nice mild chocolate note, not as much sugar as the aroma with being too dry. A mild and quite clean bitterness to balance. A pleasant and well-balanced dubbel.

Bottle. Pours hazy darkish ruby / copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of caramel malt with notes of fruit and touches of coffee. Bitter, roasty flavour with sweet notes of caramel malt and fruity touches. Bitterish and slightly acetic aftertaste with mild sweetish hints. A well-balanced and thoroughly enjoyable Dubbel. Nice.

Bottle 330ml (from BBF, BB 01/2016)
Deep ruby color, steady beige head, some lace. Ryeish malty, toasted, berryish and a bit medicinal aroma. Medium-bodied. Berryish flavor with candy sweetness. Hops are there too, some bitterness in the aftertaste. Berries dominate this bruin way too much.
