Viven Bruin is an improvement of the original recipe. The fine balance between malt and spices creates a surprising aftertaste. Brown ale with an aroma of chocolate and caramel.
This beer is the perfect meal companion. Properinge hops.

330ml bottle from Vanxueem. Pours dark brown, quite a lively one with large head. A sweet dubbel with plump dark fruits and fervent liquorice flavours.

Dubbel with off-white, creamy head and murky bronze robe. Aroma of pear, raisins, caramel, brown candi sugar, flowery hops. Dark fruits in the mouth on a sweetish caramel malt base, medium hoppy finish. Okay for the style and enjoyable, but nothing to get all excited about.

Belgian brown beer, so it has a malty body, with some notes of caramel and fruit, but this one is more hoppy than others of this style. Tasty beer.

330ml bottle. Clear, dark ruby red colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Fruity, dark malty aroma, notes of dark berries, a touch of plum. Taste is dark malty, fruity, notes of dark berries and plum, dry overtones with a touch of fruit parings, a quite "neutral" touch of yeast, not really spicy, close to hay, very subtle hints of chocolate.

7.5% version... Slightly hazyreddish dark brown with small light brown head. Lots of caramel, toast, very ripe red plums, raisins, chocolate, and some herbal touch. Medium sweet with light roasted bitte rin the finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, slightly watery herbal finish. Like the other Viven beers a decent example in the style.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a murky dark brown with a thin light tan head and some broken lace. The aroma is sweet caramel toffee light malt. The flavour is medium bitter sweet with a watery sweet malt light yeast palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Roodbruin bier met volle schuimkraag. Smaakt naar caramel, chokolade. Lekker bittere smaak, niet zoet.
