Pours copper with a small head.Nose shows grapes, heavy sweet malt, a little booze, spicy hops and golden syrup.Rich flavours but a little rough. A fair bit of syrupy malt, some spicy hops and sultanas.

Bottle, 14C. Bright copper with a fat coat of off white head. Aroma of toast, singed sugar, apricots, grass, vanilla, pepper, orange peel. Whilst you can tell it’s strong, not overly boozy. Getting towards syrupy in texture, lowish carbonation that’s about right for me. Sweet with dried peach and mango, toasted malt, bitter oranges, spices. Bitterness is strong and comes in early. Long bitter finish with surprisingly delicate citrus, tropical and spicy notes lingering. Powerful and mostly straightforward with some involving touches. Doubt it will age well, but lovely now.
