(Bottle) Clear deep reddish amber with decent tight off-white head. Nice aroma, mainly citrus with slight hints of pine and biscuit. Medium body with good carbonation. Great taste, than transforms significantly sweet toffee start to a nice bitter finish. The start has a fair amount of complexity with citrus, candy and cough medicine notes. This mellows nicely and then a good hoppy bitterness steadily grows for a nice sustained bitter finish. Generally I am not a fan of this style of beer, but was pleasantly surprised by this.

From a 640ml bottle on 22/4/2014. Pours a clear amber with a falrly big head. The aroma features a touch of light fruit and sweet malt. Taste wise, it’s more substantial, with sweet biscuity and caramel malt, raisins, tangerines, figs and just a hint of cherry, followed by some pretty firm hops. The palate tends towards creamy and the carbonation is average. All up, a pretty good amber ale.

Bottle, 10C. Clear amber with an off white head that never disappears. Aroma is a little earthy with toffee, some chocolate, plums, oranges. Full bodied, moderate carbonation. Sweet toffee, a little toasty, chocolate. Quite firm spicy, citrus and slight tropical flavours with bitterness kicking in quite early. Tasty.
