Bottle, started at 10C which was too cold for me. Very dark brown with a beige head that fades to a coat but hangs on from there and coats the glass. Aroma of toasted wood, rye bread. Light bodied, very alive feeling. Eschews intensity of flavour for intrigue. Barely sweet with lots of spicy slightly charred woody notes at the end. Chocolate, toasty, some appleish zing and pinot noir-like berries. Very interesting beer. Don’t quite know what to make of it.

Pours black with a quickly fading head.Nose shows roasted malt, spicy and bready rye notes, woody maple syrup and a bit of beechwood smoke.Very roasted flavours too with faint smoke underneath. Not as interesting as the aroma.Too much carbonation.
