Pours black with a large, tan head.Nose shows floral and spicy hops and a little malt sweetness with a hint of roast.Flavours are roastier but still pretty gentle. Some spicy hops but not too aggressive. Finishes with a sharp bitterness that comes off as slightly metallic.Body feels a bit watery.

Bottle, 12C. Darkish brown with a small light tan head that lasts well enough. Aroma of chocolate, citrus flowers, sap, moderate roast, coffee. Lowish carbonation, fairly light bodied for the ABV, but silky. Mocha taste with floral and citrus notes. Bitter chocolate. Dry, somewhat ashy bitter finish with a spice note I can’t identify. Intriguing - odd that the rather stern finish doesn’t overwhelm the malt side of things.
