Bottle from Tesco dot com. It pours clear rich brown with a small beige head. The aroma is earthy, damp wood, nutty, brown bread, rivita, touch of toffee and dried leaves. The taste is dry, slightly bitter, earthy, twiggy, woody, leafy, cardboard, toasted spice, nuttiness, brown bread and old leather sofa with a brown bready finish.. average body and average carbonation. A bit twiggy, but drinks fine. Unsurprisingly not as good as on cask.

Bottle from my local off-licence ‘Wine Rack’. Pours a clear copper colour with a thin off-white head. Aromas of caramel, biscuits and toasty bread. Taste is caramel, fruit cake and peppery spice. Malty with a subtle earthy hop on the finish. Nicely balanced. Medium body with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Decent enough.

Non nitro can. Bright orangish amber with a coat of pale beige head. Aroma of stone and citrus fruit, spices. Less marmalade-like in the taste mainly because the bitterness is a bit higher than you'd guess from the aroma. Lacks a welcoming texture, but not bad at all.

Bottle from Asda. Pours clear amber, small white head but minimal retention and no lacing. Roasted malts and stone fruit aroma. Taste is a disappointing watered down version of the aroma, more like tea with a bit of biscuit. Lightish body and moderate carbonation. Average.
