Bottled 50 cl at Forrest Brewing Company, Forrest, on August 2, 2013.Hazy to cloudy yellow color, off-white head. Spicy, fruity, light acidic, yeasty taste. Spicy and alcohol aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Spicy scent.

A frog that sounds like a banjo - just what you need in the quiet of the wetlands. Bottle. Hazy golden amber with a large white head that’s never less than half an inch. Aroma of oranges, lots of strawberries, vanilla, honey, dough, pepper, cloves. Appropriately highish carbonation. Slightly heavier mouthfeel than I’d like, but there’s a balance between sweet, tart and bitter flavours. Less berries and orange than in the aroma and more obvious honey, but even then it’s an accent to the hay and slightly darker malt flavours. Dry, slightly tart and moderately bitter at the end, lingering pepper. A little minerally at the end too, which is less welcome. The bitterness creeps up after a while. Pretty good.
