A. Le Coq Porter has a strong taste and a rich aroma. It is a typical Baltic porter with the dominant flavour of roasted malt, but hints of black bread and caramel can also be felt. They are complemented by the nuance of dried fruit and dark chocolate in the end.

RBESG2008: 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with an orange glare and a lacing white head. Light breadish and mild vspiced. Ends light hoppy and spiced finish.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is ruby brown. Aroma and taste are fruits, molasses, malt and hops. Where is the licorice?

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Heavy malty moderate hoppy aroma. Moderate bitterflavor, lack of licorice notes. Moderate bitter average finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle at home ... light brown almost a barly wine colour ... fruity light caramel malt nose ... bit over fizzzy and malty lager tones ... little caramel... little sweetness ... some yeasty breadyness... In no way is this a porter ... but a drinkable beer.

A dark brown beer with a tinge of red in the light. A malty aroma with a slight hint of black coffee. The taste is malty with plain chocolate notes. It is a rather thin tasting porter and does not taste as strong as it is but it is perfectly drinkable.

Bottle, thx Maria. Deep copper, clear, with a nice, dense, beige head. Slightly roasted aroma, with some chocolate, fruits- and coffee-notes. Fruity, sweet, lightly roasted flavor with coffee-hints and some bitterness. It has a medium to full body and finishes slightly dry, with a hoppy note. Quite nice, but I normally prefer real porters. Bottle in Tallinn, Estonia. Blackish/Reddish beer with a plainly malty aroma and a malty barley wine like flavour which is generally roasted and sweet. Overall a reasonable mildly strong and malty beer.

Bottle: Dark amber coloured, creamy off-white head; sugary, malty nose with a touch of hops in the background and shy dried fruits; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium-bodied, spicy resinous hops in the sweet and fruity finish. A decent, well crafted brew......
