In 1842, our first Brewmaster Josef Groll brewed a beer unlike any other. His crisp, refreshing golden lager was made with local ingredients: sweet Moravian barley, delicately bitter Saaz hops, soft Pilsen water, and bottom-fermenting H-strain yeast. Groll named this special beer after the city where he brewed it, Pilsen, where we still brew the same beer today. Over the last 178 years, pilsner-style lager has become the world’s most popular beer, with seven out of 10 beers in the world imitating Groll’s innovation. There are many pilsner-style beers out there, but only one original.

Mítica cerveza checa. De color dorado limpio y brillante, espuma blanca de buena retención.
Aroma muy marcado a cereal, en boca predomina la malta aportando un dulzor característico, con ligeras notas a miel. Final amargo y refrescante.
Cuando la pruebas sabes que es Pilsner Urquell. Cerveza sencilla pero muy rica.

From the tank at The White Horse, Parsons Green, London. A deep golden coloured pour with a huge white head on top. Hoppy, malty, caramel, almost buttery aroma and taste. Not really my style of beer but it was pretty drinkable and nice to try it from the tank.

Fat på Moldau. Bärnstensfärgad med ett vitt fast skum. Mjuk och maltig, balanserad med liten aning smör.

Gold pour, small white head with a ringed retention. Sweet, clean aroma with malt and grain. Taste is the same with a little yeastiness. Moderately bitter with a fruity citrus in the finish. Much stronger malt content than I was expecting. This is very good.

Sets the standard and holds its own against modern brethren. Surprisingly fruity, with some sweet apple and lemon notes against grainy malts, layers of grass and flowers, and a lengthy floral bitterness on the finish. Smooth, easy texture makes the bottle disappear very fast. Tasty.

Low/medium carbonation.nicely biting hops.a bit metallic,but not much.I prefer the unfiltered version.very drinkable.
