Dasher the reindeer was born in the North Pole back in the mid-70's. He got the name "Dasher" because he always wanted to race the other reindeer. Unfortunately he lost all of the races, which made him unpopular with the does. After turning to deer steroids he started to win races - attracting lots of does and becoming a pimpin' buck. Eventually, the deer steroids caused issues with his horns, and he fell out of favour with the does. This beer is our liquid interpretation of the period in his life when he was a rockin' studly buck.

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown. Cinnamon, nutmeg, little clove, lots of toffee, biscuit. Medium body. Bit dull.

From a 330ml bottle on 22/5/2013. Lost a third of the bottle on removing the cap. Pours a dark, cloudy amber with a big head. Has a strong, acidic, spicy aroma. The flavour is indeed Christmassy, with caramel and toffee, stewed and dark fruit, and lots of spice, with a moderate bitterness at the back. the palate is quite creamy and the carbonation a tad too high. This is a bit of a mixed bag - it tastes much better than it smells and is over carbed, but is relatively interesting none the less.

Pours brown with a quickly fading head.Heavy banana on the noose, along with treacle, nuttyy notes, soft spicy hops and some light roast. Also some subtle spices.More roast as a flavour but there’s still a fair bit of banana and sweet treacle too.Needs a lot more carbonation.Interesting stuff.

Bottle. Deep brown, some chunks, a beige head settles to a coat. Not the prettiest. Aroma of chocolate, prunes, mace, treacle. Full-bodied, smooth, carbonation could be a tad higher. Sweet with singed sugars, prunes, brandy. Very rich, but the sweetness doesn’t hang around - spices (cloves, mace) pumpkin seeds and citrus rind lift things away and bitterness creeps up. An attempt at a Pannepotish beer? Good stuff, may improve.
