Bottle, 11C. Clear deep reddish brown with a pale beige head that settles quickly to a coat. Vinous aroma with earth, spices, berries, caramel, citrus peel. Moderately sweet and spicy with oranges, berries, slightly singed caramel and a bit of a barnyard tang. There’s a real Western Vic Pinot Noir character here with vibrant berries but surprising lightness on the palate. Wouldn’t have minded a tad more sweetness but really liked the sense of place. Impressive.
