Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, brettanomyces, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, bread, and a bit of brettanomyces, leading to a lightly tart finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours thick and syrupy amber with a slight haze and a small off-white head. Very sweet caramel aroma, honeyish. Solid body, lowish carbonation, very sweet caramel, coconut?, Sherry notes and a whiff of wood. Warming alcohol finish with hardly any hops. Pleasant English-style Barley wine if somewhat to the sweet side. 140212

Tap at GABS. Sweet - cooked mandarin juice, with toffees, light herbal bitterness creeping in a the end. Convincing enough. Bottle. Dark amber with a coat of light beige head. Smells of toffee, raisins, oranges, vanilla, plums, almond essence. Syrupy and quite boozy. Very sweet with those fruits, spices and toffee. A little Violet Crumble. Some hard spices and herbs at the end as bitterness reins in the sweetness. Pretty impressive and I’d guess will improve for 2-3 years at least.
