Pours dark amber/copper with a large, lasting head.Nose shows some nutty malt and chocolate, quite sweet smelling but faint.Similar flavours but after the initial burst of malt it falls flat very quickly.Too much carbonation for my liking.

Bottle. Clear darkish amber with a small light beige head. Aroma of toffee and nuts. Sweetish with nuts, toasty caramel, grassy bitterness that’s just short of balancing but gives a drying finish. OK, but lacks life.

From a 330ml bottle on 29/3/2010. Had a fairly subdued nose but is quite tasty. The roasted malt dominates,as you’d expect in an amber, with a good dash and there’s a nice dry assertive finish. Nothing special but quite drinkable.
