A beer that has a dominant malty taste. This beer’s origins in a monk’s recipe are reflected in its heartiness. The Pope of Beers, Conrad Seidl, describes it as: “Almost black with a very slight red tone, a sensational, festive foam and truly extraordinary fragrance that at first summons up visions of greaves lard. The first taste is of mild fullness with an accompanying coffee tone, which becomes more dominant with the aftertaste. There is very little of the sweetness that is frequently to be tasted with doppelbock beer.” The Ayinger Celebrator has been ranked among the best beers of the world by the Chicago Testing Institute several times and has won numerous medals.

0.33l bottle from billa. Black color with high creamy tan head. Aroma: roasted, caramel, moncheri, dates, prunes. Taste: creamy mouthfeel, complex, chocolate, roasted malt, rasins in rum, cocoa powder. Medium to full bodied, soft to moderate carbonation, moderate bitterness. I only can wish for more such beers in our supermarkets.

Bottle from Billa for something under 2 euro what I find robbery. This is very mature drinking with raisins, dried plums and other flavors well known to central European, the only concern might be it feels bit empty right before the tail kicks in but nice, enjoyed. I have number one choice for cold evenings (considering the price tag)

Boca 0,33L - kupljena u Spicy daysu - odlično izbalamsirano pivo, možda je tajna u nešto manjem postotku alkohola nego inače u doppelbockovima

0.33l bottle. Malty aroma, caramel, light roasty notes, dried plums, light vanilla notes. Black color, beige head. Malty taste, caramel, chocolate, vanilla notes, light sweet and bitter. Full body, slick texture, soft carbonation and malty bitter-sweet finish with chocolate and vanilla notes. Very good and well balanced.
