Notes of bread and grain, tending towards malt liquor, underpin a sort of dirty wildflower that accompanies your first whiff. On the palate, this is far thinner than you expect with a little resin and a lot of citrus, but precious too little malt for mine. It’s also a touch too dry. I do, however, like the fact that it’s a rather hoppy taste, which makes it a pretty good option for a Summer afternoon session. Nevertheless, I’d recommend that the beerboys stick to retailing rather than brewing.

From a 330ml bottle on 16/2/2012. Mine has a different label to that pictured and is 5.5% ABV rather than 4.9%. Pours a dark golden with a big head. Has a slight sweet malty aroma. Flavour wise, it’s quite malty with some bready notes, and finishes with a distinct hop bitterness. Fairly decent for a lager.

Bottle. Very pale orange with a short white head. High bead. Grainy aroma with some herbs and weeds. A bit of melon too. Taste is grainy Oz lager sweetness with little bitterness.

Pours pale gold, almost yellow with a small head.Nice spicy and floral hops present themselves in the aroma, though light on. Some bready malt in the background.Flavours are malt dominated with sweet biscuit notes definitely present. Hops are not forgotten with more floral and spicy notes.Good moderately-high carbonation and nice body.
